The main activities to carry out a cost study are:
- Know the accounting structure, costs and expenses for a period that is defined to carry out the cost study.
- Identify processes at a basic level.
- Identify products, services, distribution channels, sales regions, among other business segments to study their costs.
- Obtain the costs of each business segment.
Once all the cost calculations are in place, the cost study is based on the analysis of the information to generate a list of opportunities and validate it in the organization to later work on the implementation of the opportunities.
